The Albatross Way – How we do things around here

The Albatross Way are our values, the beliefs that hold us together and provide a benchmark to measure ourselves by, through the good times and bad. Our values force us to focus on the impact of our actions and behaviours. They guide and help us to make good decisions that feel right for us, as a group of people with a common purpose.

We have three core Albatross values: Professional, Human and Win-Win

Having just three core values has a simplicity and makes them easy to remember.

We are in business and we have a responsibility to act in a professional manner. Our Professional value reminds us every day that we should strive to be the best that we can be.

As a business that puts people first and cares passionately about treating people as individuals, our Human value encapsulates how we wish to be treated and how we treat others. We work hard to communicate with each other: with empathy, warmth, fairness and respect.

The heart of Win-Win, as a value, lies in doing things in a way that focuses on solutions, that build trusted relationships and creates outcomes from which everyone benefits; there is more than enough to go round.

Our values are not be used in isolation at the expense of the other two, our values only work when they are used together in harmony. If we get the balance between Professional and Human right, where everyone knows what to expect and gets something out of it, we are on to a Win-Win.
